Special Needs Trust

A Special Needs Trust (SNT), also known as a Supplemental Needs Trust, is a legal arrangement that allows an individual to provide financial support for a person with disabilities without jeopardizing the individual's eligibility for government assistance programs, such as Medicaid or Supplemental Security Income (SSI). The primary purpose of a Special Needs Trust is to enhance the quality of life for a person with special needs by supplementing government benefits rather than replacing them.
